Tour de nuestra familia

We always are reluctant to leave, whether it's Cedaredge or Cozumel. Usually the weather is good, we're at home and content.  We're just not ready to leave wherever we are. But each year, the draw of kids and grandkids gets strong and we know the weather's going to change. So again this year, we left town with those mixed emotions and drove to Broomfield to visit Jame, Eric, Alex and Aubrey. What fun! We love having Alex, at seeming lightening speed, read to us and being bossed around by Aubrey. We visited over Halloween so we got to see Alex's school Halloween costume parade. As with years past, we loved going door-to-door trick or treating with the hordes of kids who show up in the neighborhood for the night! We also indulged on a Snickers or two. We hated to leave, but Texas was next!

We did our usual 2 day drive to Texas. We stayed first in Hempstead with Jamie B, Kelley, Ashlee (home for a few days preparing for her wedding at the end of December) and Cody. All are very very busy with work, school, and life in general. Cody is growing into a wonderful, energetic young man. He doing well in school and this trip we got to visit his school. Great place with grades K-12. He likes it and it agrees with him.  He continues to love to fish, hunt and now, at age 10, is able to drive the pickup truck WITH a trailer on their land.

Time flew by and next was Plano with Adrienne, Damian, and their 3 live wires. Ellie is being home schooled and is blossoming. Charlie is inquisitive and full of energy. And, Keanan- well, Keanan is about the cutest little boy ever. All curly hair and smiles. He loves his older sis and big brother. While there, Damian took of training wheels off bikes and Ellie and. Charlie were very close to being able to ride by themselves. Now they've mastered it! We love to watch them on Facebook.

Too soon it was time to board American Airlines for the 2 hour flight to CZM and Casa Bella. Everything went smoothly: the trip to the airport, check in the flight, even Mexican Customs! Dan with Casas Cozumel, who managed the house for us, picked us up. We stopped at CableMas on the way home to get telephone and internet reinstated. A few hours later- voila- it was on!  Life is good!

Each year, the Galyons design more elaborate pumpkin carvings so that they are becoming a work of art!
Alex was a very elegant spider witch and Aubrey was her favorite cartoon character, Sophia the First.

Mom and Alex know where the best candy is given out as they have now had several years' experience under their belts.  Alex is teaching Aubrey to give homeowners compliments in order to get more candy.

Ashlee and Kelley made their own invitations to the wedding and a bridal shower.

Orphan animals find a little piece of heaven at the Baxter's house in Hempstead.  One of their 3 dogs brought this day old bunny to Kelley.  There are bets being taken now as to whether Kelley will let this bunny go after massaging his privates to keep him alive.  Don't ask!

Cody Man has to give the bunny some loving before school.

Charlie gets the most elaborate balloon race car ever!

Three thousand people raised over $500,000 on a 5K walk in Dallas.  The money was raised to help fund pancreatic cancer research.  It was a really touching event and a beautiful day.

Why play in a house when you can play on top of it!

Keanan was taking lots of food orders from us!
